The Philippine Embassy in Brazil performed a cooking demonstration on April 16 at the University's School of Gastronomy, Universidade Catolica de Brasilia. The event was part of the Brasilia-ASEAN Committee's efforts to bring greater awareness of the ASEAN regional grouping and the Philippines to students in Brasilia.
Philippine Ambassador to Brazil Eva G. Betita was one of the recipients of the Award for Women (Trofeu Mulher) of Brazil’s International Academy of Culture (Academia Internacional de Cultura) on March 23 at Club of Nations (Clube das Nacoes), Brasilia, Brazil.
As part of the Philippine Sports Commission's (PSC) Technical Mission to Brasilia, Brazil from March 21 to 23, the delegation headed by PSC Chairman Ricardo Garcia conducted a study tour of Brasilia's national stadium also known as the Estadio Mane Garrincha and one of their Centro Olimpico.

The DFA, in partnership with COMELEC, recently conducted a three-day training on the conduct of voting, counting and canvassing for the Philippine Foreign Service personnel in the Americas who will act as SBEI, SBRCG and SBOC on the May 13th national elections.
February 2013 –The Philippine Embassy in Brazil celebrated on Sunday, 24 February 2013, the 27th Anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution. The Embassy invited Brazilian contacts from the government, the academe, the civil society and the Filipino community to a thanksgiving mass and simple program. With the theme "Pilipinas Natin, Abot Tanaw Na", Ambassador Eva G. Betita underscored the economic gains achieved by the country under President Benigno S. Aquino III´s platform of good governance.
Ambassador Eva G. Betita hosted the monthly meeting of Asia-Oceania Group of Ambassadors on 15 January 2013 at the Bahay Pilipino, the Official Residence of the Philippine Ambassador to Brazil. Dr. Renato Galvão Flôres, a Professor at the Graduate School of Economics of Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) in Rio de Janeiro served as the luncheon speaker. FGV is regarded as one of the best economics schools in Brazil and South America.
21 January 2013 – Dr. Delia Rodriguez-Amaya, a Filipino professor of the Faculty of Food Engineering at the University of Campinas, Sao Paulo, was awarded the Pamana ng Pilipino Award by the Commission on Filipinos Overseas’ (CFO) Presidential Awards for Individuals and Organizations Overseas, conferred by H.E. President Benigno S. Aquino III during rites held on 05 December 2012 at the Rizal Hall of Malacañan Palace. She is the first Filipino from Brazil to be given the Presidential Award.
