The Dom Bosco Sanctuary, in Brasilia - the Federal District, welcomed on the evening of December 17 a Christmas concert in solidarity with the Philippines that was recently hit by a strong typhoon affecting over 10 million people. The concert was performed by Totus Tuus Coral in partnership with Caritas Brazil.

The Office of His Most Reverend Excellency, Dom Giovanni d'Aniello, Apostolic Nuncio and Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Brazil, in cooperation with the Embassy of Timor Leste in Brasilia, organized a Holy Mass for the victims of typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) on November 28 at the chapel of the Nunciature.
The government of Brazil made another pledge of US$150,000.00 as donation to the victims of Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) through the UNCHR on November 14. This was in addition to the US$150,000.00 donation earlier pledged by Brazil through UNICEF for the victims.
