Muscat, Oman – The Philippines continues to enjoy recognition as one of the world’s premier diving destinations, this time bagging back-to-back diving accolades at the World Travel Awards (WTA) Grand Final Gala Ceremony held recently at the Royal Opera House in Muscat, Oman.
Hundreds of Brazilians and other South Americans came to the DIVE PHILIPPINES Exhibit organized by the Philippine Embassy in Brazil at Pátio Brasil Shopping Mall in Brasilia, capital of Brazil.
Held over four days – from 21 to 24 November – visitors to the Philippine dive show in Pátio Brasil had the unique opportunity to learn more about the Philippines as a dive destination.
The Philippine Embassy in Brazil has officially launched DIVE PHILIPPINES, a special tourism promotional exhibit to be held from 21 to 24 November 2019 at Pátio Brasil in Brasilia.
Ambassador Marichu Mauro made the official announcement at a press briefing held at Rubaiyat Brasilia Restaurant last 8 November 2019.
More than 400 guests, mostly Brazilian high school students, attended a special screening of Jose Javier Reyes’ “Ano ang Kulay ng mga Nakalimutang Pangarap?” on 28 August 2019 at Cine Brasilia. Officials from the Secretaria de Estado de Cultura do Distrito Federal (Secretariat of Culture of the Federal District), members of the press, and Filipinos were also in attendance.

BIOFUEL research and development highlighted talks between the Philippine Embassy and the Brazilian Development Agency – Agência Brasileira de Cooperação (ABC) when Ambassador Marichu Mauro met its Director, Ambassador Ruy Pereira on 30 July 2019 in Brasilia.
Ambassador Marichu Mauro and the Secretary of Culture of the Federal District of Brazil, H.E. Mr. Adão Candido, vowed further cultural collaboration between the Philippines and Brasilia, the seat of government of the Federal District and capital of Brazil, when the two met on 29 July 2019.
Around 30 members of the Filipino community in Brasilia attended the Massage Therapy Training Workshop hosted by the Philippine Embassy in Brazil on 28 July 2019 at the Chancery.
Consul General Ariz Convalecer being interviewed by Ms. Leilani Nazarro, a Filipino Community leader in São Paulo, over Radio Migrante, Missão Paz’ radio station which caters to foreign migrants in São Paulo. Filipinos in São Paulo are given a 30-minute daily time slot in Radio Migrante, which is broadcast throughout the Americas. Consul General Convalecer spoke about the relevance of the celebration of Philippine Independence.
