THE PHILIPPINE EMBASSY IN BRASILIA CONDUCTS CONSULAR OUTREACH MISSION IN SAO PAULO, BRAZIL DESPITE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC ON 19-20 JUNE 2021
SAO PAULO, BRAZIL, 20 June 2021 - To serve the urgent consular needs of Filipinos in Sao Paulo, Brazil, the Philippine Embassy in Brasilia Consular Team conducted a Consular Outreach Mission with Overseas Voting Registration on 19 and 20 June 2021 at the Sala Paulista function room of Transamerica Executive Bela Cintra in São Paulo, Brazil.
The Embassy consular team was composed of Finance Officer Arnel M. Bautista, VRM Operator Teresa P. Paran, and Consular Assistant Ma. Erika C. Limlengco.
The Embassy team processed 80 passport applications and other consular services, and around 76 registered several overseas Filipino voters.

The decision was made to conduct consular outreach mission due to the reported decline in number COVID-19 deaths and cases in May and early June and due to the insistent public demand and urgent need for consular services of Filipinos in Brazil for the past few months.

The Philippine Embassy coordinated with the Filipino Community leaders in Sao Paulo to ensure that Filipinos strictly observe social distancing during said consular outreach in order to ensure health and safety of the Filipino Community members and the Philippine Embassy consular team. END
