PHILIPPINE EMBASSY IN BRASILIA PARTICIPATES IN BRASILIA GOVERNOR’S OFFICE’S INTERNATIONAL CULINARY E-BOOK INITIATIVE ENTITILED ‘PALADAR INTERNATIONAL’

03 NOVEMBER 2021, Brasilia – The Philippine Embassy in Brasilia participated in Brasilia Governor’s Office’s initiative for the creation of an international culinary E-book entitled ‘PALADAR INTERNATIONAL’ which would collect recipes from around the world from Diplomatic Missions in Brasilia to feature special cuisines and cultures of different countries around the world.

The culinary E-book project was spearheaded by the International Affairs Office of the Government of the Federal District (Escritório de Assuntos Internacionais do Distrito Federal), which invited all the Embassies and Diplomatic Missions around Brasilia to contribute a handful of their native and festive dishes to this e-book project.
Post submitted the following well-loved Filipino recipes:
1. Pancit Bijon Guisado;
2. Beef Mechado;
3. Chicken Pork Adobo; and
4. Lechon Kawali
Brasilia PE featured selected Filipino dishes as entries to the international culinary e-book which were prepared by Filipino chef Mr. Luisito V. Abdon. Mr. Abdon is a member of the Filipino Community in Brasilia, Brazil who has an extensive cooking experience as Filipino chef in at least two Embassies in Brasilia and other restaurants abroad in other countries since 1975. He now caters for the Philippine Embassy and for the Filipino community in Brasilia for special occasions.

The following dishes were prepared by Mr. Abdon to enable Brasilia PE to participate in said cultural initiative of Brasilia’s local government and served as lunch for Embassy personnel after a general meeting convened by Charge d’ affaires, a.i. Leilani S. Feliciano.
