LEGALIZATION/AUTHENTICATION OF DOCUMENTS FOR USE IN THE REPUBLIC OF THE PHILIPPINES (Leia em Português)
1. Translate the document(s) from Foreign Language to English through a sworn translator.
Note: This translation procedure does not apply if the original documents to be legalized are executed and written in English.
2. The original (Foreign Language) and translated (English) documents must be submitted for legalization to Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country where it was executed, i.e., in Colombia, Suriname, Guyana or, case of Brazil, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Itamaraty) in Brasilia or any of its Regional Offices as follows:

3. The individual or company applying for the authentication/verification of the documents is responsible for coordinating with the local Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the procedures and requirements for such authentication.
4. The documents legalized by MRE or its Regional Offices must be photocopied (all pages).

The processing period for authentication of documents is from one (1) to two (2) days provided all the above-mentioned procedures and requirements are complied with.
Note: Personal appearance is not required, submission of complete documents may be done through mailing.
