Philippine Ambassador to Brazil Attends Welcome Dinner for 2016 Rio World Olympic Delegations

 

Philippine Ambassador to Brazil Jose dela Rosa Burgos joined all Heads of the 2016 Rio World Olympic Delegations at the scenic Fogo de Chao Churrascaria Restaurant in Bota Fogo overlooking the famous Lago in the said Prefeitura of Botafogo.

The occasion gave the opportunity to meet with all the athletes of the Philippine Olympic Delegation and to wish them all the luck and endurance to withstand their incoming fights for the honor and love of the country. In attendance from the Philippines were: former Congressman Jose “Peping” Cojuangco and daughter actress Mikee Cojuangco, incumbent Congressman Raul Daza of Northern Samar, the Ambassador’s wife Dra. Blesilda Mansilla Burgos, Mr. Joel “Joey” Romasanta, Head of the Philippine Delegation, and Mr. Gilbert Cordero, Philippine Star Coordinator to the 2016 Rio World Olympics.

Also, present were Filipino Olympic Boxers Charlie Cruz and Rogen Ladon accompanied by Mr. Edgar Picson of ABAP and Coach Boy Velasco. Congressman Cojuangco remarked that we were lucky to have won Silver this time after an almost 20-year medal drought through Ms. Hidilyn Cruz’s weightlifting capabilities.
