Philippines and Suriname Renew Ties

Newly arrived in Brazil, Ambassador Marichu Mauro called on the Ambassador of Suriname, Marlon Mohamed Hoesein to convey the assurance and support of the Philippine government for the continued good relations between the two countries. Ambassador Mauro took the opportunity to thank the government of Suriname for the agreement of Ambassador Mauro as concurrent Ambassador to Suriname.

The two officials agreed that there are areas that need to be explored for bilateral cooperation such as education, culture and labor. They promised to engage in activities of mutual concern for the development of bilateral relations between the Philippines and Suriname.
