Bilateral cooperation and mutual interest highlight talks with Venezuelan Foreign Minister
CARACAS, VENEZUELA: Areas of cooperation and mutual interest led the topic of conversation when Ambassador Marichu Mauro met with the Venezuelan Foreign Minister, Jorge Arreaza ahead of her presentation of credentials to President Nicolás Maduro as Non-resident Philippine Ambassador to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
The meeting allowed both officials to emphasize the cordial relations that have always existed between the Philippines and Venezuela for the last 52 years.
Ambassador Mauro urged Foreign Minister Arreaza to resume formal bilateral consultations with the Philippines and reactivate agreements that have been signed years ago.
Foreign Minister Arreaza on his part reaffirmed the friendship and respect Venezuela has for the Philippines and expressed his hope for deepening further diplomatic and economic relations between the two countries.
