BRASILIA PE AND THE FILIPINO COMMUNITY IN BRASILIA CELEBRATES THE 127TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE PROCLAMATION OF PHILIPPINE INDEPENDENCE
16 June 2025, Brasilia - The Philippine Embassy in Brasilia celebrated the 127th anniversary of the proclamation of Philippine Independence with the Filipino Community.
The program started with the singing of the national anthem followed by playing of the Independence Day Message of Secretary for Foreign Affairs Enrique Manalo, First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos, and President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. The undersigned also delivered his opening remarks and message to the Filipino community. It was followed by Filipino dance performances from the Teatro Cristã dos Membros da Igreja de Deus sede do Brasil and the Filipino Association of Brazil (Brasilia). Ambassador Angeles also gave an electric guitar performance.
Around 100 guests attended the celebration and enjoyed Filipino food, karaoke, dancing, games, and picture taking at the jeepney photobooth.
