Honorary Consul General in Manaus calls on PH Ambassador

Ambassador Marichu Mauro received on 21 May 2018 the Honorary Consul General for Manaus, Mr. Francisco Rodrigues Da Silva Filho. Mr. Rodrigues is the longest serving Honorary Consul General of the Philippines in Brazil. He has been serving since 1997. Aside from the city of Manaus, he has jurisdiction over the other cities in the State of Amazonas.

Overseas Voter Registration hits the 1.6 million mark!


MANILA: As of 11 May 2018, the running total of overseas voters for the 2019 national elections has reached an all-time high of 1,600,746, which surpasses the previous record of 1,376,067 for the 2016 Presidential Elections according to the Department of Foreign Affairs - Overseas Voting Secretariat (DFA-OVS).

PH Ambassador makes courtesy call on Colombian envoy

Ambassador Marichu Mauro called on H.E. Mr. Alejandro Borda, Ambassador of the Republic of Colombia to Brazil, today, 9 May 2018 to discuss developments in the bilateral relations between Colombia and the Philippines. Colombia is one of the countries under the jurisdiction of the Philippine Embassy in Brazil.

Philippines and Suriname Renew Ties

Newly arrived in Brazil, Ambassador Marichu Mauro called on the Ambassador of Suriname, Marlon Mohamed Hoesein to convey the assurance and support of the Philippine government for the continued good relations between the two countries.
